Microvoltmeter SMV8.5 is highly sensitive measuring heterodyne receiver, operating in frequency range 26MHz-1000MHz.
Device is designed to measure high-frequency sinusoidal voltage and quasi-peak voltage interference measurements.  Selective microvoltmeter SMV8.5 can be used as measuring device of field strength interference with measuring antenna type DP 3/ATR 2, DP 1/ATR 2 or LPA1-ATR2.

Device is used for :
High voltage selective measurements, particularly of mixed frequencies, such as spectra measurement modulation, harmonics and distortion measurements;
        Impulse voltage and sinusoidal interference measurements in order to eliminate reception of  radio interferences;
        Useful field strength measurements and field strength interference in electromagnetic  fields in conditions of stationary operation, and outside laboratory at open air;
With built-in generator attenuation and amplification measurements can be done. For example, together with reflection coefficient measuring bridge, or with directional coupler, or with measuring line, there is a possibility to measure alignment without a use of measuring generator. Attenuation measurements limit with a use of built-in generator is 95dB (built-in generator output voltage is equal to 95dB comparatively  to 1mkV resistance load of 50 Ohm);  
For example, at short-term voltage measurements, of frequency characteristics mesurements of automatic calibration gain control can be switched. This simplifies and shorts the receiver’s calibration process, so frequency characteristics measurements are greatly accelerated;
With voltage external changes slow narrow-band swing is provided with bandwidth of 1 kHz. With oscilloscope connection you can get frequency spectrum image and find interfering signals in modulation spectra;
